Wisdom pills

Wednesday 9 July 2014

How's it going?

It's summer and it's hot; most of you are on holiday, and... Well, we aren't here for nonsenses. In the end, it's time to enjoy the sun and unwind...

But Ooak☥Craft never sleeps! (not as much as I would like -___-U) So, one more week, I bring you small wisdom pills, this time hidden in a torc and a rigid choker:

"Huginn ok Muninn" torc -SOLD-

Maybe you already know the name of this torc... If so, congratulations! Just won a more detailed explanation: according to Norse mythology, Odin had two ravens, Hugin and Munin ("thought" and "memory" respectively), which flew from dawn to dusk to return to God's side and whisper to his hear all the news they had collected during the day.

                          "Huginn ok Muninn
                          fljúga hverjan dag
                          Jörmungrund yfir;
                          óumk ek of Hugin,
                          at hann aftr né komi-t,
                          þó sjámk meir of Munin"
                        "Hugin y Munin
                        fly each day
                        over the spacious earth.
                        I fear for Hugin,
                        that he come not back,
yet more anxious am I for Munin."

  Grímnismál (Sayings of Grímnir),
mythological poem of the Poetic Edda.

"Lleuad" necklace -SOLD-

~ Nee shitteru...? ~ "Lleuad" means "Moon" in Welsh.

Enough for today!
(It's my birthday >_<)
